Interactive typing practice
ReadyOn-screen keys insert characters for practice; use your OS keyboard/IME for normal typing. InScript map labels correspond to the standard layout. Phonetic mode is a learning reference, not a universal IME mapping.
For accurate touch-typing measurement use a physical keyboard. Autocorrect and mobile input methods can affect comparisons. Punjabi/Hindi require an installed or enabled Unicode keyboard layout.

Free Online Typing Tutor for Students
Practise English keyboard typing with guided exercises, timed typing tests and clear performance measurements. Learn home-row control, common words, paragraphs, punctuation, speed and accuracy. Punjabi Gurmukhi and Hindi Devanagari practice are also available with a selectable visual InScript keyboard reference and appropriate Unicode input methods.
How is typing speed measured?
Gross WPM is the number of entered characters divided by five and by the elapsed time in minutes. Accuracy measures the share of correct characters. This training tool also displays an estimated net WPM and counts mistakes made during the attempt. Actual recruitment exams may use different rules.
